Young Marist Solidarity Experience

The Young Marist Solidarity Experience is for Marist school leavers to have the opportunity to live and work in a Marist community overseas for a 2 month placement in the year following the completion of their Year 12 studies. Positions typically include a wide range of tasks including tutoring in English, ICT and PE, and general assistance in and around formal schools and non-formal education centres.

The Solidarity Experience is for young Marists who after they leave school, express a desire to stay connected to the Australian Marist Community and involve themselves in initiatives across the province.

Skilled Volunteer

A skilled volunteer is someone who has recognizable skills and experience and wishes to offer these to a community. This frequently involves teachers who wish to take leave and teach abroad for a minimum of one school term, but also includes white collar professionals in capacity building positions.

MVA offers two unique internships with the first opportunity here at Marist Solidarity Brisbane (MSol). The Brisbane based MSol team has the capacity to offer insightful internships to anyone who has wanted to gain hands on experience in an international aid agency. You will have the opportunity to participant in team meetings; maintain project files and work in all areas of the MSol operations. Interstate applications are encouraged as we have ample accommodation in a Marist house only minutes from the office.
